Greatly increases pump performance in low light situations and when pumping from greater depths.  It is required on single panel Robison systems when pumping from depths of over 90 feet and on two panel Robison systems when pumping from depths of over 150 feet. It has an ALC level cut off built in helping to add time to pump life.
